Intrauterine Insemination Union Reproductive Medicine Centre (Tsim Sha Tsui)
Description:
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) is an assisted reproductive technology. During the woman’s ovulation period, processed sperm is directly injected into the uterine cavity through the cervix. To increase the chances of successful pregnancy, women generally take ovulation-inducing medications to stimulate ovulation and increase the number of eggs. However, the number of mature follicles should be between one and three to reduce the risk of multiple pregnancies. Therefore, during the treatment, the woman needs to undergo ultrasound scans to monitor the growth of the follicles and prevent overstimulation of the ovaries.
